Piemonte’s fortresses are fascinating and imposing. They were built in a strategical position in order to defend the territory. Colossal military buildings that witness historical events and battles. Today they are an important historical and artistic patrimony.
In Gavi you can find an example of these buildings. Here there are the imposing Forte of
Gavi, that is situated on the top of a hill to dominate Lemme’s valley and the ancient roads between the sea and the Padana plain.
